The result of the move request was: not moved, request withdraw/consensus reached(non-admin closure) Tantomile (talk) 04:36, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
Eat the Acid → Eat The Acid – Song is shown as "Eat The Acid" with the word "The" capitalized on both Spotify & Apple Music. Title should reflect the correct stylizing. Just want to gather consensus because I've moved it in the past, but it seems to have been moved back, and i don't really want to get into a move war. Tantomile (talk) 06:03, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Strong oppose. Per MOS:TITLECAPS, "the" should not be capitalised. Wikipedia uses title case for all titles, regardless of how they are displayed in other contexts. Otherwise, Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides would be found under OIL OF EVERY PEARL'S UN-INSIDES (which is the stylisation chosen by the artist, but which you'll notice redirects to the article that uses title case). Moreover, I've found that capitalised "the" and similar words usually stem from a misunderstanding of title case rather than an actual attempt at stylisation. All in all, "Eat the Acid" with a lowercase "the" is the one that should be used. Bizarre BizarreTalk modern to me 10:54, 19 May 2023 (UTC)

- Oppose (strongly) per MOS:TITLECAPS. Like, it's a REALLY well-established rule here on Wikipedia, that the word "the" will essentially NEVER be capitalized unless it's the beginning of a title or subtitle. There's not a snowball's chance this move will occur. Speedy close as uncontroversial WP:SNOW? Paintspot Infez (talk) 19:13, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Look, I made the suggestion just to gather consensus. I'm not an idiot. There is no need for you to take out your anger at this request by passive-aggressively explaining how "Like, it's a REALLY well-established rule" so it will "NEVER be capitalized", and yelling that there is "not a snowball's chance this move will occur". I explained my reasons for why i felt that the move was necessary. you and other explained why it was not. I get that. I don't want this to feel as if I'm attacking you in any way, but please just remember to assume good faith, and be civil, because we are all people here, and we are just trying our best.
- I'm going to go ahead and close this request now since consensus seems to have been reached.
- All the best,

- @UpdateWindows: Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I totally didn't mean to make it seem like I was yelling! And my apologies if my message sounded passive-aggressive or angry; I totally didn't intend for it to. (And, the only reason I used the "there's not a snowball's chance" is because that's the phrasing used by the page WP:SNOW.) Again, so sorry. Paintspot Infez (talk) 21:06, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
