Northern mountains of Hungary?

[edit]

Since when Hungary has mountains? You must be kidding. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Codrinb (talkcontribs) 04:26, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There are in fact mountains in Hungary—see North Hungarian Mountains, which are part of the Carpathians. JeanLackE (talk) 21:17, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Length of this article

[edit]

I'm worried that this article is excessively long. The information in it is really good, and this is an excellent long-form description of this animal. But as it stands, this really fails as an encyclopedia entry: there are 62,000 characters and 10,000 words of prose, which at an average speed of 275 words per minute would take more than half an hour to finish. The article layout, also, is not conducive to finding synoptic and encyclopedia-like information—to find out anything, you really do have to read the entire thing. I suggest splitting off two shorter articles of about 10-15k characters each—probably one on dietary biology and one on breeding—and reformatting the topic headings so that there are many subsections under each of the current headings, and where each current heading starts with a summary. I'd really hate to delete information, but as this stands this is very clearly WP:TOOLONG. JeanLackE (talk) 21:17, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
