Fair use rationale for Image:Easter Parade DVD cover.jpg
[edit]Image:Easter Parade DVD cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:46, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
The actual Easter Parade
[edit]If someone wants to do some disambiguation work, etc., we probably should have an article on NYC's actual annual Easter Parade. Photos on Commons at Commons:Category:Easter Parade. -- Jmabel | Talk 21:03, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Kelly/Rooney/Astaire
[edit]The sentence about who was cast in the male lead is very confusing:"Gene Kelly and Mickey Rooney were originally cast, but he was injured just prior to production and Astaire, who had announced his retirement from film, was coaxed back to replace him. "
Which of these two gentlemen was the "he" who was injured? Could someone with greater knowledge of this please correct it?Khajidha (talk) 19:17, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
Who Dubbed Peter Lawford's singing voice?
[edit]This article does not say who dubbed Peter Lawford while he was singing A Fella With An Umbrella. Or did he do the singing himself? IGG8998 —Preceding undated comment added 16:29, 10 December 2010 (UTC).
Gene Kelly's ankle
[edit]What was Kelly doing when he broke his ankle? The lead says playing touch football, the Cast section says playing volleyball. DuncanHill (talk) 21:56, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- @DuncanHill: Sources disagree on the exact sports. I like what the Judy Room said on this: "Gene Kelly broke his ankle either playing softball, volleyball, or baseball — depending on which book you read." Interestingly, IMDB trivia section on this film is so negatively specific on how he broke it that the whole thing could be malicious gossip.
- So I left out the sports and just mentioned the broken ankle. Britannica also did the same. Aithus (talk) 12:43, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
