Just a few comments on the photos. They are placed centrally, which is a facility suitable for landscape-shape photos, and are 300px or less. Attempts to weave the words round the photos are not satisfactory. The reason for the relative prominence of the photographs is that they are not decorative graphics; they are as much part of the substantive content of the article as the prose. The line-up of these early groups is almost as important as the music they played; indeed, the instrumentation was chosen for the music.
