This is a very good article overall, though I did find a couple issues:
- "He served for a total of 28 months, attaining the rank of captain, and mustered out on September 12, 1919." 'mustered out' feels jargony to me, even though i can discern what it means rather easily.
- Changed to "was discharged".
- "Clements accepted, and consequently had to refuse a later request from his boyhood friend, A. B. "Happy" Chandler, to fill the same position for his campaign." Any information on the early friendship?
- I wish. Only one source that I have found mentions it, but it would be fascinating, given that they became bitter political rivals for decades, apparently over this one event.
- At 10 paragraphs, perhaps the governor section should be split or paragraphs combined.
- I've combined a couple of paragraphs. An image would help break things up, but images for this time period are hard to find without copyright restrictions.
- "Clements replaced the Kentucky Highway Patrol, which had become a corrupt vehicle of political patronage, with the Kentucky State Police." So the state police was new at that time? If so then I'm reading it right, if not then fix.
- That's correct. KSP was a new organization, replacing the highway patrol.
- The prose in general is rather simplistic. I have no problem with this at all, and prefer it actually, but there might be FA concerns on whether the prose is "compelling enough". That's an (non?)issue for later though.
- Right now, I'm just shooting for GA, but I'll keep this in mind should I take it further.
I'll put the article on hold and pass when the issues are fixed. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 06:28, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

- Everything seems good now, so I'll pass the article as a GA. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 16:55, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
