The third paragraph really needs some work - all those pronouns when it isn't clear who is being referred to. Karen Anne (talk) 11:56, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
Earl of Carnarvon
[edit]The image of the coat of arms should be updated. The arms are described as "The coat of arms of the Earls of Carnarvon" however the arms are actually the arms of a Baron. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.150.22.5 (talk) 17:44, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
- I also noticed that the colors seem to be wrong. I checked several sources on the arms of peers, and all the descriptions for the Earl give the following: "Per pale azure and gules, three lions rampant argent." In other words, blue and red, not green and purple. I think the colors may have discolored or been transferred badly. There is a shield in Commons that matches the description with the addition of a crescent.
This also matches the painting of arms shown on the Highclere castle website. — ★Parsa ☞ talk 06:09, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
