Earl Hebner refereeing WM's IV-VII
[edit]Earl Hebner is listed on Wikipedia as the referee for all of the big matches at WrestleMania IV through VII, however, the commentators always name Dave Hebner as the referee for these various matches.
fired?
[edit]What will happen to Earl now? Is it possible for him to go back to WWE?--Yugioh73036 04:51, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Yugioh73036
Montreal
[edit]It says in the article that Bret Hart was going to WCW the next night, but that wasn't the case. Bret was contracted with the WWF until at the end of December. Plus Bret himself said he would give the title up on the RAW after the PPV. That kinda proves he wasn't going to WCW the night after Survivor Series.--HDC7777 16:04, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Senior Referee
[edit]Earl Hebner is not the senior referee for TNA Wrestling. The senior referee is Rudy Charles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.213.165.157 (talk) 22:41, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Please Make Changes
[edit]Um, in the past, I made edits on this page. Such as adding Hebner's info pane on the right hand side. If someone could correct his weight, because when I looked for infomation from other sites about him, I did find his correct height 5 ft 7 in. But his weight was not listed, so I pretty much took a stab in the dark and guessed, and if you see at the bottom it just says next to debut 1980s; not sure about that either. So if anybody find his weight or debut (like it matters) feel free to correct it. TonyO13 (talk) 00:11, 15 July 2008 (UTC) TonyO13
Daughter
[edit]Would it be worthy to note that the girl who played as Gail Kims Sister is Hebners daughter? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.202.131.204 (talk) 00:42, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

100.000 matches?
[edit]Ok I know this was announce by TNA but.. he's 65 years old that means (if the 100.000 would be true) that had to referee more than 4 matches every day from his birth on.
According to the article he started refeering in the 1980s.. Let's say he started in the year 1980.
Thats 35 years. 100,000/35 = 2857 matches per year. 2857 = 7.8 matches a day (without any day off for the last 35 years) This seems impossible and I think it should be remove from the article. No one would write in an George Clooney article that he is a master thief because someon says this in Oceans Eleven. 109.91.204.227 (talk) 00:46, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- I agree it seems implausible, so I've added a citation needed tag. Personally, I think it's okay to remove it, others may disagree though. Joseph2302 (talk) 01:02, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- It's unsourced so you can remove it if you want to. TNA did claim it happened but it is obviously a kayfabe-based exaggeration with no roots in reality. There are a bunch of ridiculous kayfabe claims in wrestling which aren't real, everything from fictional title tournaments in Rio to Undertaker living in a cemetery. Hebner's TNA character has apparently refereed a laughably huge number of matches, the man himself likely has not.LM2000 (talk) 01:08, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

- Before you spend too much time on this, consider that "professional" wrestling is essentially a dramatized stunt show with very little need for actual refereeing. Maybe determining the exact number of matches where he was present isn't as important as it would be in a sport where actual competition took place. Just saying. – AndyFielding (talk) 09:26, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
