some additions I'd like to suggest

[edit]

I'd like to suggest a change to the Dittman page.

Earl Dittman is the owner and film critic for Wireless Magazine, a Houston, Tx.-based syndicated journal distributed in movie theaters and record stores around the country. Dittman is known mainly for being very prolific in supplying positive, and heavily quoted, review blurbs for widely panned movies.

(then the lousy blurbs)

He has been heavily criticized by other critics and fans who argue that Dittman's reviews are intended to get him mentioned in press material for the movie, which has given him the pejorative title of a quote whore. Dittman's critics have noted that some of his quotes have been included on promotional materials for movies that had not been pre-screened for critics. (http://www.efilmcritic.com/feature.php?feature=1678)

I found from the harris County (Tx.) Clerk's office the Dittman is registered as the owner of Wireless, as well as several other publications. I think it's interesting to point out that, despite what he has said, Dittman is not just a scribe there, as he has suggested, but is the guy who owns the enterprise.

Any thoughts? Njsamizdat
