First Song with Profanity in Title

[edit]

This is NOT the first song with a swear word in the title ... Nelly reached #7 in 2000 with "(Hot S**t) Country Grammar," not to mention Ludacris hit #10 in 2002 with "Move Bitch" and Meredith Brooks hit #2 in 1997 with "Bitch."

Its the first song title that contained a "swear word" of a censorable level, however. Neither Shit nor Bitch is "profane" if you live outside the USA, basically. --Kiand 15:56, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The article made reference to being the first song in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 with profanity, and the Hot 100 is an American chart; in the US "shit" is censorable and usually "bitch" is too. And when I was in Europe I never heard "fuck" get censored on the radio.

One hit wonder

[edit]

I am pretty sure this guy is generally considered a one hit wonder in the UK, worth a mention? Adamshappy 10:57, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He had two songs in the top 40 there so he's not a one hit wonder. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.194.3.232 (talk) 04:04, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

2022 Album

[edit]

Eamon released a new album No Matter the Season on March 4th 2022, why isn't this included here? "No Matter the Season is a welcome return for Eamon. He found some excellent collaborators in Now-Again and Likeminds, and the result is his best album to date. It has its roots in retro soul and Afrobeat, but it’s an album that resonates in 2022, thanks to some great production, songwriting, and of course, some killer vocals from Eamon." https://scratchedvinyl.com/reviews/eamon-no-matter-the-season/

He also released the singles; Good News, Won't Stop Now and Show Business in 2022.

Furthermore, this rubbish about his songs being ballads about infidelity, this is only based on the Fuck it song. His more recent albums have been soulful, with elements of funk, jazz and blues. Musically, he has moved way beyond the fuck it song. https://www.forcedexposure.com/Catalog/eamon-no-matter-the-season-cd/NA.5224CD.html 2A02:8309:2183:7800:E484:1D24:2A38:31FF (talk) 12:56, 25 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
