The NW5 was the first EMD locomotive to place a 12-567B engine inside a hood. The next hood diesel to use the 12-567B was the SW9 of December 1950. The contemporary NW2 and TR2 used the 12-567A engine. --SSW9389 (talk) 21:21, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
