France

France is on the map but not on the primary users or in the description... so... is it wrong? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.214.51.242 (talk) 11:04, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

Switzerland does not have the CASA C-295 yet

It was scheduled for the armament programme of 2001, but declined by the parliament. For an up-to-date list of the Swiss Air Force vehicles, see http://www.lw.admin.ch/internet/luftwaffe/de/home/dokumentation/assets/aircraft.html 80.75.192.70 (talk) 11:15, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Brazil

C-295 came to replace DHC-5 Buffalo transporter. Removed text about Caribou, since Brazilian Air Force never operated that piston-engine powered type.RobertoRMola (talk) 00:53, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

Vietnam?

I can see Vietnam on this operators map...

Why is Airbus military still mention 85 units and 14 countries... shoould be 94 by now? What is backlog: 2 Egypt, 1 Ghana, 1 Finland?

Vietnam wants to buy Airbus C-295 to anti submarine but now I don't know Vietnam has C-295 , I think we haven't have yet . You can read in here http://quocphong.baodatviet.vn/Home/QPCN/Dong-Nam-A-tang-cuong-nang-luc-canh-bao-chong-ngam/20122/192869.datviet (write by Vietnamese) Hoangprs5 (talk) 14:00, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Another deadly C-295 crash

An Algerian Air Force C-295 has crashed and burned in southern France and there are reportedly no survivors. The cargo was special banknote paper meant for the Algerian National Bank.

Somehow the competing C-27J Spartan type does not crash this often. Airbus citing human error as a cause for fallen C-295s does sound more and more bogus over time. 87.97.99.196 (talk) 00:14, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Merger proposal

I propose this merger as the persuader is merely a variant of the C-295!--Petebutt (talk) 05:10, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

The Ministry of Interior operates one C-295W and has ordered four C-295W. Saudi Ministry of Interior Casa C-295W — Preceding unsigned comment added by Qrmoo3 (talkcontribs) 09:07, 1 October 2016 (UTC)

Name

I think the name is C295 without the - following Airbus rebranding ( A330.. H125.. etc ) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.137.89.64 (talk) 11:16, 17 January 2017 (UTC)

The EASA type certificate still has "C-295". MilborneOne (talk) 15:13, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
thin line, EC145 is actually bk117c2, EC155 is as365n4 in type manuals. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.137.89.64 (talk) 14:52, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
It is really about common name, although some publicity material uses "Airbus C295" it is still not the common name used by the majority of sources so probably best to leave it as is for the moment. MilborneOne (talk) 15:01, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

Humanitarian Version

Dear all,

the World Food Program introduced a humanitarian version of this airplane during the Mozambique disaster response in March/April 2019 which is currently not listed on this page:

https://www.logupdateafrica.com/blog/reach-for-the-skies-new-plane-increases-efficiency-of-wfp-emergency-response-in-floodhit-mozambique

Maybe it should be added to this page?

Anyone knows more?

(The WFP runs the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service, which again charters planes from operators to run air services for the humanitarian community. In this case DAC Aviation, which is one of the major operators for the United Nations and the European Union's Echo Flight in Africa.)

Operators - Canada

Looking for someone to do an edit for me (I'm inexperienced and don't want to mess things up).

The section reads that, "...Comox, British Columbia (418 Search and Rescue Operational Training Squadron)" which is not entirely incorrect but 418 is the training squadron. The principal operating squadron will be 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron.

Since none of the other cities have their squadrons listed, we could just delete 418 and it could just read Comox. However, if we want to indeed keep the squadron up, let's change it to 442.

Source: I'm helping implement the C295 into 442 Squadron. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.137.245.207 (talk) 20:30, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Specifications

The specification section lacks a listing of the Aircrafts empty weight. Section list the fact of 6 wing hardpoints present - BUT no information ow types of weapons it is capable of, or weight limit on the pylons. - Would be very nice to have. Yes, might be involved regarding weaspons capable of as it might vary with each customer/ country. Wfoj3 (talk) 22:31, 31 December 2020 (UTC)

Design

There some odd wording in the design section that the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127G engines allow 10,000 uninterrupted flight hours without servicing. The only source I can find for this claim states that SOME PW100 series engines are capable of 10,000 hours without a shop visit. This issue is, a shop visit is not an exhaustive description of all servicing, as it is industry standard that aircraft components are constantly serviced with inspections and component replacements on wing. This is both the industry and vernacular meaning of servicing. Shop visits typically imply overhauls in industry. Stating "uninterrupted flight hours without servicing" implies the engines are able to run continuously for more than a year non-stop without being turned off without an inspection or even oil change (ie, servicing).

This claim should be substantiated with a source because it is questionable, and reworded to not imply impossible technical ability. 2600:1004:B0CC:3574:C59D:1CC5:CDF8:5903 (talk) 17:22, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
