Status of counterclaim
[edit]It is hard to follow all the threads in this article. Trump filed a counterclaim on June 27, which was dismissed by Kaplan on August 7. Trump appealed this dismissal on August 10. On December 13, the Second Circuit ordered various things but did not explicitly mention this appeal; instead, the case was remanded to the district court for further proceedings. The article then states "On January 8, the 2nd Circuit declined to take up Trump's appeal again.[161]" However, the Forbes article [161] appears to be about a different topic, namely presidential immunity.
It is around here that the counterclaim disappears from the records. So I suppose it has been definitively dismissed, then? KarlFrei (talk) 09:09, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
Carroll I and Carroll II damages
[edit]The summary box at the top incorrectly reflects the damages awarded in each of the cases. It says $5 million was awarded in Carroll I and $83.3 million was awarded in Carroll II. This should be reversed. The text of the article correctly says that $5 million was awarded in Carroll II. I tried to fix this myself, but somebody reverted it, so whoever is babysitting this page can fix it. Moccus7 (talk) 23:53, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
