GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
    Too much quotefarming
"Songs" section too messy; try to merge it somehow, like in "Reviews" section
The article is generally messy arranged; "Writing and recording" doesn't belong to "Background", same for "World Dystopia Tour" and "Reviews" (should be lone two-header sections), "Track listing" should be put somewhere above "Personnel"
"Sales and chart positions" is too small; integrate it somewhere, how about into the small section "Release"?
odd usage of hyphens, eg "Iced Earth -vocalist" (hyphen should be removed) or "Wacken -festival" (same); Hyphens should be used when you want to separate eg prefixes and sufixes (for example anti-communism) or if you want to join something, eg Compound modifiers (for example well-prepared student). However, the hyphen is often omitted
Apart the wrong hyphen usage, the article contains several prose issues, mostly in grammar. Examples:
"Two of the albums songs ("Dystopia" and "Tragedy and Triumph") also feature the return of the "Something Wicked" -storyline and the bands mascot Set Abominae previously featured on previous albums" - redundant repetition
"it's the band's first album with vocalist Stu Block, who joined after former vocalist Matt Barlow left the band for a second time on August 6, 2011" - same
"During its first week the album sold over 6,000 copies in the United States and charted in many countries" - how many is many?
"According to Jon Schaffer and Stu Block, writing the lyrics was basically the two of them drinking beer and watching movies." - avoid noun + ing, and the last clause should be rewritten.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
How reliable are the following sites:
    imperumi.net
    hallowed.se
    cmdistro.com
    metal-army.com
    about.com
    bravewords.com
    themetalcritic.com
    kaaoszine.fi
discogs.com is not reliable because it is user-generated
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
rationale for File:IcedEarth2011.jpg indicates [1] as a source, although I could not find this picture anywhere on its homepage.
no need to italicize the album in references.
  7. Overall: there are too many issues, not only in references, but in prose. This should be copyedited and peer reviewed before nominating in future.
