What is Erectile Lobetamie? This is the only page mentioning this term. Specifically the word Lobetamie, is it supposed to be Lobotomy? All references to the word on search engines seem to stem from this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.139.68.205 (talk) 10:03, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
Um. This page sucks. Many different classes of Dyskinesias can be causes by many different classes of neuroleptics. TD is only unique in that it's the only permanent one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.17.124.2 (talk) 02:12, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
Types: Medication-induced dyskinesias
[edit]Re cite: Hanson, Fleckenstein & Curtin: Dependence on amphetamines increases Parkinson's disease: Effect of gender: I was unable to obtain the full text of the article; the information presented is redacted from numerous tertiary references such as https://www.recoveryranch.com/articles/early-recovery/amphetamine-increases-parkinsons/ and https://www.drugabuse.gov/publications/drugfacts/methamphetamine#references D Anthony Patriarche (talk) 10:03, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
Amphetamines and Parkinson's disease
[edit]Amphetamines do cause dyskinesia but the link to Parkinson's disease is incidental to this fact. Most drugs that cause dyskinesia are not linked to Parkinson's, and most cases of amphetamine-induced dyskinesia do not progress to Parkinson's.
Unless there's something in the study that links dyskinesia to Parkinson's, this sounds like a (not so) "fun fact." 2603:7081:1603:A300:2CC4:A198:82DB:C8BF (talk) 09:42, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
