Music Video

I'm pretty sure that their music video could beat either BTS' Boy with Luv or Blackpink 's How You Like That for the most viewed video in the first 24 hours. It already has 54 million views as of the first 10 hours. Are we going to add a music video section? Or are we just going to state it on the first few paragraphs. Can you elaborate please

Mal Arken if you had orig said what you just wrote in that edit you just made, and included the "moderate to negative reviews" in the CR section (or specified what in the existing reviews qualifies as that) I would have left your orig edit alone. But you didn't do that. You rarely leave edit summaries, you don't explain the reasoning behind your changes and you don't add anything to support why your changes should be kept. I reverted/undid you the other day based on what exists in the section and it is atleast 95–98% positive hence why I felt that what Ashleyyoursmile wrote ("widespread critical acclaim") was correct, ie. to quote your words "the general reception of various notable critics is exceedingly positive". I can pick out 2 things (Caramanica's "...less musically adventurous..." and MTV's "not because it's overstuffed with ideas...") quoted in the section that qualify as moderate/not so positive amongst the other positive things those same reviews (and all the rest) said otherwise. If I've misinterpreted anything else quoted as positive when it isn't please feel free to point it out to me.

You say there are "moderate to negative reviews from notable critics" also right? I'm not aware of every single review from a reputable source in existence for the song so it would be great if you could provide these particular ones and their excerpts to help me understand the justification behind your opinion that the "overall reception is simply positive". I'm not into incorrectly gassing up a song's reviews and neither is any other editor worth their salt who contributes to this page (or any other BTS page for that matter). I'm all for balance in CR sections, but so far you've honestly done nothing to prove that what you say is correct, even if it might be so, and to be clear I have no problem if your are. I won't undo your edit for now because I'd like to know what it is you seem to. Hopefully you'll respond this time. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 06:52, 27 August 2020 (UTC)

I looked on Spotify and the song appears on their album "Be". I'm not sure if it means it's the lead single but it should be mentioned that it appears on the album. 84.69.19.74 (talk) 16:37, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Longest charting song source

Carlobunnie, if you ever come across a source which mentions that "Dynamite" is the longest-charting song on Gaon, please add it to the article. I have been searching for such a ref. for the long time but in vain. --Ashleyyoursmile! 15:00, 1 January 2021 (UTC)

It’s a questionable source. The suffix of the url (co.kr), suggests that this is a community-post/user-generated content, which is not acceptable on Wikipedia. An example: the infamous deprecated source The Sun has the suffix "co.uk" (full url: thesun.co.uk). I can’t provide a link as the source is deprecated, though. Another example is Metro UK, in its entry at WP:RSPS, it says articles published in the print newspaper (accessible via metro.news domain) are considered more reliable than articles published only on the metro.co.uk website, suggesting the "co.uk" suffix is, once again, a sign of unreliability. The "co.kr" suffix is no different, just that the material was published in Korea vs the UK. The source is not listed at WP:KO/RS or WP:RSPSOURCES, but in my opinion, the source is unreliable. @Doggy54321: uh you do know that gaon chart urls have 'co.kr' suffixes right? As does the Korea Times and Maekyung and a bunch of other reliable korean news sources. When a country has 2 charts...

For Japan there's Oricon and Bilboard Japan. SK has Gaon and Billboard Korea Hot 100. I've noticed that in the Comm Perf section only one chart is mentioned rather than both for each of these countries. Is there something wrong with mentioning both? Dynamite was the best-performing song of 2020 on the BBK Hot 100 with a total of 17 weeks at number 1 and I thought it would be worth mentioning but now I'm unsure if the addition would be welcome or not. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 10:13, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
