The Dynamic Hepnotics vs Dynamic Hepnotics?
[edit]I'm not sure whether it should be The Dynamic Hepnotics. McFarlane agrees. Album/single covers are inconclusive with some having 'The' and some not. Holmgren doesn't have 'The'.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 12:34, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not sure either
- lost bands of the new wave era (blog) has a record cover that has "the".
- discogs lists with "the" (though most of their releases would be vinyl, & as you menationed they're not strictly a RS)
- 1979 flyer(jpg) lists without "the"
- poster in Qld State library lists without "the" in the catalog entry (can't view the actual poster online
- top 10 1984 chart lists it without "the"
- musicbrainz lists without "the"
- Australian Blues archived site lists without "the"
- Howlspace without "the"
I wonder if they changed the name at some point? Kathodonnell (talk) 15:15, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- Without sufficient consensus amongst these sources leave the article name unchanged.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 05:24, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
Original Research
[edit]I removed the following from the References section of the article that was added by User:Leroy Suave 02:02, 23 March 2013:
Self - eye (and ear) witness. My real name is Brian Wakefield and as bandleader of the Layabouts, I had a lot of contact with the Dynamic Hepnotics. I remember very clearly all the facts I have corrected. I have also corrected the obvious and embarrassing blunder of saying Ross Wilson was in Skyhooks. Everybody who was alive in 1970s Australia knows he became famous as the front man in Daddy Cool and was never in Skyhooks
Obviously some work done in good faith but I felt it needed to be visible here that it might mean some original research in the article and reference to primary source. However I don't think any harm has been done so left the edits in. HuggaBounce (talk) 13:12, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
