Primary topic

[edit]

Yes, I note that the mythological one is the primary topic. That's why I moved that article to the base name and made it the introductory line here. -- JHunterJ (talk) 17:19, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

well done. --dab (𒁳) 16:52, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Nice to have you respond on the talk page instead of just reverting. Now, if you could have just avoided reverting along with it. WP:MOSDAB explains why the primary topic is set apart from the rest of the list, and why linked articles are placed as far to the front of each entry, and why entries in the main list aren't bolded, and why articles that just have the ambiguous phrase as part of the title are placed in See also, and how to format group/section heading, and the rest of the changes. Since you disagree with their application here, perhaps you could explain why, rather than just reverting. -- JHunterJ (talk) 17:03, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No longer primary topic

[edit]

Since someone has decided that there is no longer a primary topic, there's a job to be done in sorting out the incoming links to this dab page - most of them presumably should now go to Dwarf (mythology) as that's where the article previously at this title has been put. I'd suggest that the two nearest-to-primary meanings (person with dwarfism / (mythology) ) should be pulled out to the top of the page to assist readers, as the two most likely sought topics. Just off on a wikibreak now, so won't be commenting further. PamD (talk) 11:14, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A suggestion

[edit]

Why isn't there a "Dwarf (fantasy)" article? I feel like they've become a sort of cliche or trope in fantasy works, and have appeared in SO many things, that you could have one universal article for all fictional dwarves. Is this a good idea? 68.40.56.56 (talk) 21:37, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
