I am the webmaster at www.durrowvillage.com and I authorise myself to post the information here! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dldunne (talkcontribs) .

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Unluckily, the site has no notice that the contents are available under a free license. Unless stated somewhere in the site, it is assumed the text is copyrighted. Note that releasing under a free license may mean releasing all rights from ownership. In other words, someone could copy your site, change a few words, and use it to get money, without you being able to claim copyright violation. Finally, you can't authorize yourself to post the information here. That would mean that only you would be able to modify the page (as only you have authorization from doing so), and any other user modifying the page will be considered a copyright violator, which is something Wikipedia does not accept. If you are interested in releasing text under a free license, check Public domain and GFDL as possible free licenses for it. Thanks for understanding. -- ReyBrujo 22:26, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If Dldunne is the copyright owner, they are free to post the information here regardless of what licence applies to it on their own website. By submitting content here, for which they are the copyright owner, they are licencing their content here under GFDL at Wikipedia. They are nevertheless free (as the copyright owner) to use said content elsewhere outside the terms of the GFDL.

He authorized himself to post the information here, not anyone else. There is a conflict of interest here, because he is a new user and does not understand yet that any text submitted through this form is licensed under GFDL. To prevent further problems, it is better what happened: rewrite the article from scratch. -- ReyBrujo 15:14, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup tags

[edit]

Please, don't remove them. They are not bad. {{uncategorized}} means the article lacks a category. Categories are necessary because they group similar items (in example, a category may group all counties from Ireland, while another super category may group all countries). They allow users to quickly find an article browsing through categories. {{unreferenced}} means the article lacks a reliable source to verify the information posted here. Such sources are necessary because a casual user may want to confirm the information put here. Until these concerns have been addressed, please don't remove the tags. There are users who will come here because of the uncategorized or unreferenced tags, and modify the article to improve it. That is what drives Wikipedia onwards. Thank you for understanding. -- ReyBrujo 23:12, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
