Duloch is neither large enough nor significant to the town of Dunfermline's history to merit an individual article. This should be merged with Dunfermline.--Epocalypse2 14:54, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Added a merge tag in line with your suggestion. Edward Waverley 16:22, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
That is a personal opinion, as you said, 'Duloch is not significant to the town of Dunfermline's history', ergo it should not be merged with it and will continue to have a seperate page.
The fact Duloch Park is not significant enough for its own article is a tad on the ridicules side. Dulch Park is not only half the size of the town but currently the largest residential expansion project in Europe! The area is attracting many residents from Edinburgh with its 1st class housing and reasonable prices compared to those of the capital, not to mention easy access to the motorway which means they can move in and still get to work. This is exciting because it means higher earners are spending more money in the town centre thus helping to revitalise the area as a whole. I not only believe Duloch Park is important for the towns economy but a giant step towards the less fortunate areas of Dunfermline receiving over due upgrades and therefore up lifting the spirits of the local community giving them a renewed sense of self-worth. My final point on the "significance" matter is as follows Duloch may not be a huge part of Dunfermline’s history yet but in years to come will have a solid claim to the responsibility of colour being reintroduced to the The Auld Grey Toun
I found the information about Dulochs history very interesting and would appreciate more being added if possible. I would however like to make one request can the article be changed to read along the lines of the City and Royal Burgh of Dunfermline rather than a dormitory suburb of Edinburgh? Although Ill agree the comment isn’t wrong I believe the town being a city should be recognised as such and not made to sound so insignificant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by CannonJnr (talk • contribs) 18:01, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
