2005 & 2006 Comments

A 'History' section would be highly appropriate, but I have been unable to find sufficient information. Krazos 16:06, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

As it stands, this article is strongly POV, and needs a good solid edit to pull out all the advertising material. Either one of the "frequent editors" does this asap, or I will do it with prejudice. --Shannonr 07:46, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

I hvae now removed the bulk of the advertising copy. Please ensure that all future edits remain NPOV. Thanks. --Shannonr 13:20, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Dukelawmag fall2006.jpg

Image:Dukelawmag fall2006.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Journals

I feel that Duke Law Journal's status as the most cited journal at the law school should be highlighted in the "journals" section, as an uninformed reader would come away from this article with the impression that Law and Contemporary Problems is the school's flagship journal. I am not a wikipedia expert so will leave this to some other enterprising editor. This is the source: http://lawlib.wlu.edu/LJ/index.aspx 67.159.82.227 (talk) 22:45, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

Removed the reference to the Gender Journal publishing the two longest issues in school history--that's no longer accurate, as DLJ published a longer issue in 2008. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.111.207.79 (talk) 14:19, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

Admission/enrollment rate

The entry cited a 4% enrollment rate for the law school. Firstly, the reference cited for this enrollment rate lacked any such data. Secondly, acceptance rate is the standard metric for selectivity, and for good reason. A 4% enrollment rate could just as easily demonstrate that most admitted students prefer to attend other schools. As it stood, this statistic was highly misleading (since a naive reader would almost certainly confound acceptance and enrollment rates). I left unedited the statement that Duke Law is "highly selective," because this is commonly accepted as true. Note, however, that Duke Law is ranked 50/185 for selectivity according to raw acceptance rate data. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.176.212.31 (talk) 07:53, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

Law schools that have graduated presidents

The second paragraph of the intro mentions that of T14 schools, only Duke, Harvard, and Yale have graduated US Presidents. However, both Roosevelts graduated from Columbia Law, which is also a T14 school, so I'm going to go ahead and change the article to reflect this. If I'm doing this in error, feel free to find a source and change it back. --Danberbro (talk) 03:56, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

I've cleaned out the WP:LINKFARM external links section. DMOZ is added. A single link to the official site will lead to the other sites. The journals are listed as links in the text. WP:BOOSTERISM is a no-no in Wikipedia. – S. Rich (talk) 03:32, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
