I've translated part of the site on "Bollenstreek" from the Dutch Wikipedia pages, but added to it and amended it as appropriate. A few issues arose here:
1. I very much prefer an alternative name like "Dune and Flower Area" or "Beach and Flower Area" but I went with a more literal transaltion.
2. It could be "Region", "Area" or "District". I went with "region" because this is the primary translation in Van Dale.
3. There seems to be little about Dutch floriculture on Wikipedia. I think this subject deserves its own page.
4. Wikipedia needs another page dealing with the Bollenstreek in general.
5. What towns exactly are in the Dune and Bulb Region? There is some inconsistency about this between the Dutch Wikipedia article and the Kustgids site. In this article, I decided to take the stricter view of this, following the approach taken in the Kustengids. So Wassenaar and Bennebroek, which are clearly part of a larger Bollenstreek, are not included here.
6. And should Wassenaar, Leischendam and Voorschoten belong here too? Or are they perhaps a separate "south of Leiden" area within the Bollenstreek? The floriculture around these towns seems limited nowadays. Do they think of themselves as being part of the Bollenstreek?
7. This means the area is now neatly, but somewhat artificially, restricted to South Holland. I think another article is needed for the Kennemerland Bollenstreek (ie the towns in North Holland).
8. I wasn't sure where to classify Oegestgeest, Rijnsburg and Katwijk. I included them here. Does anyone disagree?
9. I was unable to find a public domain map of the area, so I've used an historical map. If anyone has a more modern map, feel free to put it in.
10. The history section here is rather weak. If anyone cares to write a history of the area, feel free to add it.
