Uncited NOTSTATS NOTDIRECTORY and placeholder content
[edit]Despite multiple repeated unanswered notes to the user's talk page, HurLING560 continues to add uncited content to this title. In addition to the content being uncited, it is, to my mind, problematic under multiple guidelines and norms (including WP:NOTWEBHOST, WP:NOTSTATS, WP:NOTNEWS and WP:RECENTISM) to be using Wikipedia and this "article" as a host for very recent match results/scores - in the current instance of this competition. Not least as (a) it's not what the project is for, (b) is indistinguishable from made-up material, (c) is "sports news" content that goes out of date quickly, (d) is of questionable relevance/notability. Either now or in the future. Given that much of the content is also "placeholder scaffolding" it would even be of questionable value to any reader -- even if the content was within project scope. At the very very least the content needs to be supported by reliable and verifiable sources. Guliolopez (talk) 16:40, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- Bump. HurLING560, you continue to make unsupported and unexplained changes to the article. Including removing maintenance tags without addressing (or even acknowledging) the concern. Please engage. Thanks. Guliolopez (talk) 08:37, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
I agree with this. If the contributor wants to create articles about current competitions, then this should be done correctly and with appropriate references. I consider much of his content not appropriate, but when I have deleted any, it is reverted very quickly, with no acknowledgement. There does not appear to any sense of engagement here - no arguments made for the information. Pmunited (talk) 22:57, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
