Requested move
[edit]- Cecilie of Mecklenburg-Schwerin → Duchess Cecilie of Mecklenburg-Schwerin … Rationale: A user unilaterally moved this page to a version without the title, saying that it was not needed. Current WP conventions state otherwise. Cecilie only ever was a crown princess, not a queen or empress. Therefore the page ought to be moved back. Charles 16:26, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Discussion
[edit]- See above. Charles 16:31, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
The page was moved contrary to procedure in a unilateral act. The move should have been proposed to move the page. We do not need to vote on a request to move a page back to the agreed location when someone contrary to policy moved it. The onus is on them to propose the move under the normal procedures, not others to vote it back. FearÉIREANN\(caint) 18:37, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Incorrect wording?
[edit]"While under the monarchy this would have meant a great change for Cecilie and her husband, the change was potentially dangerous for the leader of the Nazi German state."
I'm changing "for" to "because of." As far as I can tell, it could be read as "dangerous for Hitler," when clearly the opposite is the case.--Adûnâi (talk) 18:01, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
A sentence repeated twice in the article
[edit]"She settled in Bad Kissingen until 1952 when she moved to an apartment in the Frauenkopf district of Stuttgart."
This sentence is repeated twice in the article. Should it be changed in one of the cases? It's the first time I see such a thing on Wikipedia, has this page been vandalized?--Adûnâi (talk) 18:05, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
Wow, what a beautiful article!
[edit]Reads like a novel. Kudos to whoever wrote it. Cecile was one classy lady. I am gonna see if I can find her memoirs. 47.17.215.176 (talk) 19:42, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
