Hello Wikipedia editors, as a lifelong Dubliner, I don't fully follow this article, which seems to be a mix of one author's position (Hickey) and a little original research. I don't recognise some of the terms at all, don't know anyone who calls any form of speech "New Dublin English" although I've occasionally (like 2-3 times in 20 years) read the term in the Irish times ... and I would hope that before asserting ideas like these, notably the alleged vanishing of "Dortspeak", multiple properly researched sources would have been consulted and used. Could someone have a look? Maybe this topic is not yet mature enough for an article but more likely it just needs more context and history. Any article on Dublin English which does not properly discuss Dublinese is certainly not fully prepared. 51.171.242.16 (talk) 08:43, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
