Deletion?

[edit]

It's only been 5 months since it was announced and this page is nominated for deletion? It's a confirmed film with an attached director, writer, and producer. Beanssnaeb 04:14, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I originally proposed the article for deletion on the basis that there had been no news since April 2006. Generally, no news means inactive production, which isn't very assuring of the film ever being made. Hence Wikipedia's no-crystal-balling policy. Since you contested the proposed deletion, I went ahead and cleaned up the article to see if there was any history or recent events tied into the film. Unfortunately, there don't seem to be any, and director Roger Avary has failed to mention following up on Driver after writing and executive producing for Beowulf. In addition, there is no actual citation that says that Avary is even attached to direct this film -- the most recent citation in this film article says that he was attached to write it and nothing further. I found another, more unreliable, citation from the day before that had an "exclusive" announcement of Roger Avary writing and directing Driver. Maybe that's where it's come from and why it's on IMDb, because I find it highly unusual that there's no direct mention of Avary being attached to direct Driver at any of the movie news aggregator websites I checked out. I'm tempted to put up this article for deletion. Do you have any counter-arguments to that? --Erik (talk/contrib) @ 23:40, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you honestly believe it is worth deleting, go ahead. When more concrete info comes in the future, i will go ahead and recreate the page. sound alright? --Beanssnaeb 01:39, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Director

[edit]

The Gans new item that states he is director is incorrect. --Beanssnaeb 03:04, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to what? I haven't found a citation that said Roger Avary was actually the director, just "adapting" the film. Any citations outside of IMDb? —Erik (talkcontribreview) - 03:08, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed. --Beanssnaeb 03:12, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome, works for me. —Erik (talkcontribreview) - 03:14, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
