[edit]So. . . This was my first edit to Wikipedia and I imagine people aren't going to like it a hundred percent, but I figure it's much better than what was there. I literally just translated the parts of the German page I thought were interesting.
I admit to needing guidance on how the linking works (I mean, which 'key words' should I turn into links, which do I skip) and I don't pretend like this is a finished job. It's just the part I thought I could do, and it's a big step forward. What follows is literally my first Wikipedia signature (not counting on my own talk page). - I think the linking is fine. It's somewhat surprising to see so many red links for those toponyms, but that doesn't matter. One thing is missing, however - references. You can and should replicate the German article's references, just translate the translatable parts of each citation. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 00:03, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
- I sat down today to do the references. . . and I can find the 'ref' tags in the parts of the German article that I translated. Now I wonder if there's something else I should be looking for? Toby.Crowley (talk) 07:03, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
- It looks like the German article is low on inline citations. They list a number of sources at Dresdner Heide#Literatur und Quellen, though, so this case nicely demonstrates why we prefer inline citations instead - now we don't know which parts to attribute to which source. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 18:34, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
