Past and Present

Hi, SanAnMan. Not a major dust up here, just basic math and direct observation of who is on stage for the final song. First and foremost, by definition, the flash forward to 2020 is not “the present”. Any kid from the 2015 New Directions would be from the past in 2020, unless they stayed in the 3-year high school for 6 years. The only student from 2015 who could possibly still be there in 2020 would be the 13-year-old (in 2015) Myron Muskovitz, played by J.J. Totah, but Myron/J.J. is not on the final stage, probably due to the fact that it would be visible that the actor had failed to age to 18-year-old status for the 2020 scene. Totah does appear in the 2015 group scene, "Teach Your Children Well", in the music room, but not in the final song. Are there other new young kids singing on the stage for the final song, who could be deemed as active students from 2020? Looks like every single singer on the stage is from the cast previously seen on the series - meaning all the students are from the “past” of 2009 to 2015. Is there a reference that addresses the presence of unknown new 2020 students on the stage for the final song? Jmg38 (talk) 21:28, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How about "from the 7 years that Will was the director of New Directions", given that he hands off to Sam Evans after the 2015 win, as shown earlier in the episode? Jmg38 (talk) 21:42, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
