Article rewrite
[edit]I boldly rewrote this article. original version. I removed 2nd person, some borderline-pov regarding how to play hands, added discussion of outs and computing probabilities for catching outs, dead outs, split discussion of inside/outside/double inside straight draws, and simplified the writing style to be more concise and easy to read. Big edit, so feedback welcome. --Toms2866 03:57, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Backdoor draw table
[edit]I made this table comparing the probabilities of various backdoor draws to one-card draws. The point is to allow one-card and two-card draws to be easily compared in terms of outs. I was thinking of including it in the article but it seems a bit too much like OR. For what it's worth. Dcoetzee 00:40, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
One-card | Two-card (43 unseen) | Two-card (31 unseen) |
---|---|---|
0.5 | 5.1 | 4.4 |
1 | 7 | 6 |
2 | 9.7 | 8.3 |
3 | 11.9 | 10 |
4 | 13.5 | 11.5 |
Jargon
[edit]This is so jargon ladened as to be almost unreadable to someone wanting to learn something on the subject. Could someone write this to be more approachable? --71.1.202.71 (talk) 16:28, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
