About spellings of names
[edit]I think there should be some rule... in NAMES!!! well Actually the problem is there is no rule. I think at some point someone should change the names into one version.
- The Japanese wikipedia has listed 14 names in 4 languages since 2007. It hasn't confirmed as the official spellings, but I suggest we follow it until it is officially announced as otherwise.QCat 14:57, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
- I see that some people tried to spell it the way the game DRO did. But I have some objections to this: see the Names of countries section. QCat 11:45, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
후치, or Count Nedval's first name
[edit]wow, plz, we have to do someting about the names for the last year names were organized and people agreed on it but someone changed all the names. I especially hate the guy who put Hutch instead of Hoochie like how it has been for the last year or so. thankyou --0ParadinCLaim0-- 22:12, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hutch, in many English-speaking world, is pronounced as Hut-ch, or hangul:헛치. Therefore I believe Hoochie is preferable. If you differ, please expand on this discussion.QCat 14:57, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
"Hoochie"?! There is no way a Korean person named their character after a word from American slang. It's not even good slang!
Names of countries
[edit]In the third chapter when Karl talks to Unchai, the conversation is romanized as below;
- "Ime youkchi Djipenian. Tanda nagarse un Bisus?"
- You are Djipenians. What are you doing in Bisus?
To which Unchai replies:
- "Bisus? Ckraap-moinar atlla hahch e daune!"
- Bisus? What the rotting holes of bastard dogs call a country?
A very fun exchange, and I think these should be followed, as opposed to the ones from the game DRO. However, because the English/French word bisus is pronounced very differently, as to avoid confusion I suggest Bysus as an alternative. What do you think?QCat 11:47, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
From the starter
[edit]I started this page, and I think this deletion suggestion was made for the insufficiency of information about this book in english. This is one of the most notable fantasy novel in Korea, and reprduced into MMORPG and cartoon book as well.
- Ah, please do not mention the cartoon book... please....... and it is "adapted" (made into a different genre) not "reproduced"(copied)QCat 14:57, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
I actually didn't have enough time to complete this article due to the length of this novel(9 volumes or more as I remember) as well as my lackness of time to do that. Also I have to confess I simply translated the 'story' section from the same titled article in Korean wikipedia 드래곤 라자. You will find some reference about the author from Lee Yeongdo.
Checking it out.....
[edit]Hi, I am Tinned Butterfly, currently working on Lee Yeongdo article and various articles related.
- Great job, though it will need some cleanups.....I'll be off working on it right away. Tinned Butterfly 07:28, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Cleaning up
[edit]I did some cleaning up on the article, taking away unneeded details and shortening the article. Try not to be too detailed, make valid points, and write as formal as possible. Tinned Butterfly 00:38, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Too much imformation
[edit]I think that the article is getting too big, so we might have to cut some unimoportant infortaions out. It is very attractive to write every single thing down about Dragon Raja, but it's not very Encyclopediatic. Tinned Butterfly 02:16, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- You mean encyclopedic? Please excuse the grammar police! QCat 11:30, 4 September 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yhgpark (talk • contribs)
Not very encyclopedic
[edit]One of the points on the last section of this article reads:
- possibly there might be an anime based on this novel but no details are known
Certainly a worthwhile contribution to this article. 88.108.153.139 22:01, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- This was only a rumor among fans in the early 2000s and should not be sited even as a "possibility" unless there is an official word on it from the publishers. (Who would let people know if there is such a plan)QCat 13:11, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
