Jackie Chun
I was watching a Japanese trailer and I was Jackie Chun fighting. How come he's not listed under characters? Is he an alternate costume or something?
- Costume probably.--SUIT42 23:25, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- He's just an alternative costume. There should be something about him in the latest archive under "Another new character?". // Sasuke-kun27 00:03, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Release Dates
As a non-member, I can't edit this page. However, this page [1] has the Wii release dates for all regions, which don't appear to be shown here. 211.28.230.23 10:11, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
on the official Nintendo website of Japan (http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/software/lineup/index.html) it says that the Wii version of Tenkaichi 2 is releasing on January 1, 2007, so i changed it in the infobox.
Tag Team Battles
That's where you can put up to 5 people on each team, right? Because all that I see in the article about tag team options is 4 people actually fighting at once. 152.163.101.6 10:33, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- You're right, it's five (see here). I mentioned that before but I guess nobody changed it. I'll get to it right now. // Sasuke-kun27 15:57, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Well, the game doesn't call it Tag battles. If you select Tag battles in the dueling menu it's two vs. two. In Free Battle mode you can select up to 5 fighters. But i guess the name "tag" can be used here.: FireBall00 20:05 7 november '06(CET)
- Something thats been bothering me is that its not simultaneously fighting. I've seen vids with tag team and its not altogether. Once a player dies another player comes on the screen. Check here http://youtube.com/watch?v=Z_0Nx_XrYWU —The preceding unsigned comment was added by SSJ Gokan (talk • contribs) .
- Well, what can we do about it? It's just a game, you guys (refering to anyone who feels that the game could have been better) will get over it. But this isn't a forum to discuss our opinions about the topic, it's a page to discuss changes to the article. // Sasuke-kun27 01:08, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- No I mean on the page it says that it is simultaneously, meaning at the same time, and its not-SSJ Gokan 01:32, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- My apologies. I didn't realize that it was in the article. I refrased it, but I think that it could sound at least a bit better than what I wrote, so if someone can refrase it even further, that would be great. // Sasuke-kun27 01:52, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
Bonus
i got the game and if you have tenkaichi save data on your memory card it will allow you to get some sort of gift, since i didnt get tenkaichi i cant get the gift but i would like to know what this present is. And should we include this fact into the article? --????
- I heard that it's 100,000 zeni (although it might have said 10,000). And about including it in the article, I don't really think that it's necessary, but I'd have no objections if it was. // Sasuke-kun27 00:35, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Name changes
Who changed all the names to the confusing Japanese version's on the character list page, its really confusing to read now and its in no apparent order.
This is the wiki page for Tenkaichi 2 people, not Sparking Neo. Keep the information english. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 208.59.130.120 (talk • contribs) .
- It's fixed now. // Sasuke-kun27 00:35, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Question
Why did Kid Goku's Great Ape transformation get removed even though proof was found in the old archive? RandomGuy42 12:17, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Tier List?
Has an official tier list been made yet? -ShogunPK
- Wikipedia is Not a forum.--SUIT42 16:27, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- You're quite right, Wikipedia is not a forum. Neither is it a chair, table or pineapple. These are all good points to make. But it does leave one question unanswered, what's a Tier List?
Should it be part of the article then? What is it?Simondrake 13:38, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Tao
This isnt major, but I'm just wondering what others would think of using Mercenary Tao. Both games have been a little confusing in that they have General Tao on the select screen but Mercenary Tao in the info sections (and just Tao in the manual, at least for this game). I'd normally think the select screen version would be best, but Mercenary Tao is the official US name. I dont know how General keeps getting in. They fixed that error when they dubbed the RR Saga. I think they used Mercenary in Advance Adventure too. I'm not making a change as of yet, and it isn't a big deal, just wondering what others think. Onikage725
- Good point...I don't know. Maybe we should change it to Tau Pi Pi until we can decide on where to get the names from. For a long time the only source was a youtube video of the japanese one, now the English version is out it's become a bit of a mess.Simondrake 04:40, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- It's General Tao in the American version, but I'm not sure if it's different in the European version. // Sasuke-kun27 15:27, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- European versions says General Tao too: FireBall00 13 november 16:05 (CET)
- True. But go into Dragon Library mode. They have character write-ups for everyone in the game, and it is "Mercenary Tao." That is "in-game" is it not? He basically has two names in this game. It was the same deal in Tenkaichi. That's also the guys official English name, with "General" coming from a mistranslated Cell Saga flashback to the RR Saga (changed to Mercenary when the dubbed RR itself). That's all I'm saying about that. It does say "General Tao" on character selection. So much easier for Sparking! Neo players...just Tao Pai Pai across the board. Onikage725
- Why is this even being debated? If the name in-game is "Mercenary Tao" that is what is to be used. The game is not the American dub, it's not the European dub, it's not the Japanese dub. The game is the game, and we should be using what names are used in the game, regardless of what someone is called in other sources.
- That's why I brought it up Dai- the game uses both. On character select it is General Tao. In Dragon Library it is Mercenary Tao. I'm suggesting that since he is listed in-game with both names that Mercenary be used, since he is not presented in any form (save one badly dubbed flashback) as a "general," including in his character and bio in this game. This game basically goes with official US names, and Mercenary is the official US title (seen in the RR Saga, DB: Advance Adventure, and BT1 and 2 in the character background sections). But the other end of that is that it is a fighting game and when you select him it does say general. It was the same way in BT1. Someone over at Atari's been hitting the hash pipe. Onikage725
- On the character select screen, it's General Tao; on the Dragon Library character select screen, it's General Tao; in the description, it's Mercenary Tao (which is only used once in the entire description). Seeing as how General Tao is used more than Mercenary, let's just stick with General. // Sasuke-kun27 21:50, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, you know I missed the DL part (my mistake). I started with Goku and used the shoulder buttons to navigate. Getting to Tao, he's "Mercenary" but I dont think I actually used the front menu to select him. Onikage725
- To add to the confusion, one of the opening phrases used by Tao in combat has him calling himself "Mercenary" Tao, not "General" Tao.
- Geez, seriously? I usually play on Japanese, switching to English to mess around in duel mode to hear some of the character-specific tuants. Haven't heard that yet. One has to wonder if FUNi is providing screwy source material or if Atari is off their rocker on this one. Onikage725
- Um, if anyone's actually watched the dub for Dragon Ball (NOT Z), they'd know that FUNimation corrected their error from Z and call him Mercanary Tao and not General Tao. This is just Atari's usual nuttyness. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.191.40.111 (talk) 16:24, 8 December 2006 (UTC).
Indent drop. It doesn't matter what they call him in the dubs. We're going by the English names provided by the game and in the game, he's called General Tao. // Sasuke-kun27 20:55, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
Protected
Purely out of curiosity, how come the article is protected? 61.68.47.84 10:20, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- My guess is to stop people from constintly changing the names of the characters, and if that's the case, I guess that we could unprotect it now since the game is out. // Sasuke-kun27 15:35, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Untransforming.
The article says that the sayians and Zarbon are the only ones who can untransform. On reviewing the character list I was wondering about Videl and Master Roshi. They have transformations and in the show they can undo them (If you count it as a transformation). Can they un-transform in the game? If they can then that section will need rewording. Simondrake 02:31, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- I believe they can, but I'm not exactly sure. Whatever the case, not all Saiyans can revert to their previous forms. All Oozarus and LSSj Broly can not change back to their previous forms. If someone can find a way to refrase this, as said above, it would be greatly appreciated. // Sasukε-kun27 02:54, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- I think I fixed it up. 209.232.151.49 19:54, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Are you SERIOUS?
Why is this page cluttered with the special moves of a character? Either they shouldn't be there at all, or a seperate page should be made. --65.3.69.5 18:50, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- You're right. It was a huge mess, so I removed it. What we should be doing is adding a list of game modes instead of ridiculously long attack lists. // Sasukε-kun27 20:34, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- That list seems to have been added today. And no, it doesn't belong here. Onikage725 20:59, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
A few things
I changed the release date for the Wii version in America, seeing as how I picked up the game yesterday from my local Gamestop.
I'm also in the process of adding modes as described in the booklet. --Luigifan13 01:43, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I as well got it early. But the official release is still the 19th so I dont know if it should be changed. Jarvisganon
Isn't the European release date 2006? i saw it listed as december 31 2007 and so i changed it to 2006. was i right? El cid the hero 20:56, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- If you cannot provide info that it is out in 2006 then it shall remain the same.
- But how can you prove it's 2007? Why do we need a link to confirm the Australian date but not the European date? It's obvious that it's bullshit. Takuthehedgehog 02:30, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
Supreme Kai -> "Shin" in the tournaments
I just noticed that when picking Supreme Kai for a duel, practice, etc., he's called just that. But in the tournaments, he's called Shin. Should this be mentioned in the article (like this: Supreme Kai (Shin) (Base, Kibito Kai)) or is it not worth mentioning at all? // Sasuke-kun27 21:23, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- Makes sense to me, if he's listed with both names in the game then he should have both listed here. Put it in.Simondrake 22:39, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Backward Compatability
Is this game Backward Compatable for ps3, because, we can put in the article.
- According to the PS3 site [2] there are "no major problems for this title" but i don't know if it should be added: FireBall00 18:06 (GMT) 21 november 2006
- 2 Two things, This wasn't made for the PS3 so it's pointless to mention that. Second, instead of using GMT instead, use UTC and an easy way is by using 4 tildes ~~~~ --Blindman shady 08:27, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
EU Wii Release Date
Stop changing it. Use a resource or stop vandalizing the article. Someone with higher power deal with him? Blindman shady 03:55, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- I've been watching this for a while and it seems there's several people who change it to december '06 or january '07 and only you who changes it to december '07. And you're rather rude in your edit summeries and never provide sources. I can't find a source for it myself but since the date you claim is authentic is a year after all the others it seems a bit dubious. Where are you getting your information from?Simondrake 08:11, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- Look at the link marked 2 right now. Neoseeker is the most unreliable source, but I'll leave it as is. Blindman shady 03:49, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
- You continue to change it to December '07 saying in your edit summery to follow the link. If you follow the link it says December '06. Why do you continue to change it to information that is proven wrong even by a source you refer to yourself?131.227.231.180 19:43, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- I have not looked at the link I have provided in a while and the date might have changed.
Dartanian Nickleback?
He is credited as Cell in this game. Does anyone know if this is simply a pseudonym used by Dameon Clarke, or an entirely different actor? I haven't been able to find any evidence that Clarke was no longer doing the role, and the character sounds exactly the same as he always has... Onikage725 12:57, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
Voice Cast
I added a Voice Cast list to the article (word for word from the manual) but it doesn't have any of the new characters, such as Tapion, Pikkon, Yajirobe, etc., or the Japanese cast so if someone could please fix it, it would be greatly appreciated. // Sasuke-kun27 16:59, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
- I get the Prima Guide Monday, if it has it, I'll post 'em up. Blindman shady 01:20, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- I do know that Chris Patton plays Turles because it said in his profile and Chuck Huber as Android 13. Maybe it's better to look in the Dragon Libaray to find out the cast. SuperSaiyanCrash 15:10, 26 November 2006 (UTC).
- Yeah, all of the names are in DL mode, depending on which language you have selected. I'm seriously skeptical of this Dartanian Nickleback business for Cell though. A- if that isn't a made-up name, I don't know what is and B- Cell sounds no different. He was also credited for Super DBZ as such. Onikage725 18:03, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- So, the Wii version has the option to select the original Japanese voice actors? I think this should be located in the article if this is true. I hope it's true! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.203.223.93 (talk • contribs) 03:13, 4 December 2006 (UTC).
- The PS2 version also allows players to listen to the original Japanese voices. It's not just a Wii only feature. // Sasuke-kun27 20:19, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
Pictures
This is a very nice article these days. Good work people. But it could use pictures...Simondrake 20:11, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
Controls
In the Gameplay section, it lists controls which are obviously only for the Playstation 2 version. Shouldn't these be changed to reflect that they are PS2 only? There is a separate paragraph already describing the Wii controls, so a dedicated PS2 controls would fit nicely. Maybe start it with "In the Playstation 2 version..." Zaybertamer 06:19, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Australian Wii version launch date
This article says the Wii version launch date is March next year, but I live in Australia and my local EBgames store is selling it right now. MindWraith 08:11, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
This page has been hacked at the end of item shop it says N-I-G-G-E-R and I think that is very disgraceful —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.7.204.54 (talk • contribs).
- First of all, please sign your comments by typing in ~~~~. Second, what are you talking about? That was reverted over two days ago. And as an added note, you can't "hack" the site. This is an online encyclopedia that anyone can edit. 68.57.97.152 03:29, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
