remove square from definition square-pyramidal
[edit]The first sentence limits the definition to square-pyramidal, while there are literal images of triangular and round based pyramidal shapes. I'm suggesting this be corrected to more inclusively define dragon teeth. It seems the easiest way to correct this would be to remove the 'square' part. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.111.64.199 (talk) 13:17, 27 October 2023 (UTC)

[edit]What about the thingums that look like gigantic clatrops? Are they also called dragon's teeth? I was looking for them when I typed in 'tank traps'. -Toptomcat 17:56, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
- I suspect that you are thinking of the Czech hedgehog. Gaius Cornelius 19:04, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'll add a distinguish template linked to the Czech Hedgehogs. 03jkeeley (talk) 18:56, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
Merger Proposal
[edit]I'm proposing that the short page "Toblorone line" be merged in as it is briefly discussed at the bottom of the page.-- Aronzak (talk) 13:28, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- The page is indeed short, but I'd rather keep it separate, since there is more than enough to say about the specific Toblerone line to warrant a separate article (it's been on my todo list for... way too long, so I won't fight too hard against the merger, but I think they should be kept separate) Schutz (talk) 15:03, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- I suppose the question is does the page describe one specific line or rather the entiore set of Swiss lines. If this is simply a synonym for Dragon's Teeth than yes to a merger; if we are describing a single line than I am not opposed to keeping it separate. HalifaxRage (talk) 12:24, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- Well, the Toblerone line is a way of using them as well as the name given to that stretch of fortification so i would suggest making the article larger or, if(and only if) no-one can find the relevent information, merging it with the dragons teeth page. however, i think it needs a certain amount of prominence that might not be possible if it was part of another article Talker91 (talk) 15:22, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
- The term is used as an identification to that specific 10km stretch of fortification line, not as a generic term, I'm against a merge for that reason. MLauba (talk) 14:27, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose. As previous editor noted, "Toblorone line" is a specific fortification line. "Dragon's teeth" is a generic term. Gaius Cornelius (talk) 16:33, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Pop ups
[edit]...and has roadways rigged with teeth that are ready to 'pop up' and complete defensive lines that stretch past the roadways themselves
- I removed this line as I found no evidence of such while searching - and without evidence this seems more like Sci-Fi or at the very least, uncorroborated fact. Another article on fortifications, etc, mentioned that despite rumors of Switzerland pre-booby trapping railroads, bridges, highways, etc to cut them off in case of invasion, this is fiction rather than fact.

Spelling
[edit]Shouldn't it be spelt dragons' teeth, rather than dragon's teeth? I mean how many teeth does one dragon have?
