Towards FAC

[edit]

I don't think this is too far off FA really. A once-over by good copyeditor for flow would be nice for maybe picking up some bits and pieces. I can ask Eusebeus or someone to have a look for flow. What else for comprehensiveness - were all the above able to be looked at (a nice list BTW). Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 19:56, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I actually didn't use any of the above resources as I don't have access to them. Otto4711 (talk) 20:55, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I might be able to ferret out a couple, oh, and every last little thing needs to be sourced (groan). I think i can get the Empire easily enough and may be in the houise I am typing this from. I will check. Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 23:46, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bother; only have Empire up to 2002 :( Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 23:51, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Von Helsing

[edit]

The character's name is spelled VON and not VAN, so do not change it. Otto4711 (talk) 12:25, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Has there ever been an explanation why they changed van to von in this movie? It was van Helsing in the first Dracula movie (and other media including the original novel). Emperor001 (talk) 23:48, 22 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There's very little information even about more major 1930s horror film productions like this. To put in perspective on the name change, the book Universal Horrors says that when there was plot inconsistencies between these films, audiences of the day didn't really seem to care about that kind of thing. Discussion pertaining to non-free image(s) used in article

[edit]

A cleanup page has been created for WP:FILMS' spotlight articles. One element that is being checked in ensuring the quality of the articles is the non-free images. Currently, one or more non-free images being used in this article are under discussion to determine if they should be removed from the article for not complying with non-free and fair use requirements. Please comment at the corresponding section within the image cleanup listing. Before contributing the discussion, please first read WP:FILMNFI concerning non-free images. Ideally the discussions pertaining to the spotlight articles will be concluded by the end of June, so please comment soon to ensure there is clear consensus. --Happy editing! Item of interest

[edit]

Under ‘Reception and influence’, I added this item of interest: The film was referenced in the 1960’s pop-song ‘Dracula’s Daughter’ by Screaming Lord Sutch. http://songmeanings.com/songs/view/3530822107858857867/

Deleted on 30/10/17 by MagicatthemovieS with no explanation. I feel this is worth a discussion on Talk Page. Valetude (talk) 12:22, 4 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
