I just added Philo D. Beckwith to the Notable Residents section but don't know how to create the link to the Wiki article on Beckwith. I think this is an important addition to this article as Beckwith built a large theater in town and invited a very prominent American Freethinker, Robert Ingersoll to give the dedication speech. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.11.216.43 (talk) 17:08, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
- 24.11.216.43, Excellent. I fixed the first link (changing a curly-brace to a square-bracket), and added the second link as you said above. There are nice Help links all over, but the MediaWiki is very complex, because it does a lot, and there is a LOT to learn! Keep trying! I think we were at the same talk tonight. Want to expand your entry with what you wrote above? That is an important addition. If so, we should probably support it with a citation, perhaps to Susan Jacoby's book? (I don't have it, but perhaps you do.) Citations are one of the most difficult tasks in MediaWiki, but I have done a couple. A citation makes it more difficult to remove controversial text. BTW, if a Wikipedia page had a good write-up, and someone removed it, do you know *when* the text might have been *added* or *removed* or at least of have *existed*? I am good with unwinding bad edits by using tab *Show History*. Ask for help on this or my talk page. Good luck! Shouldn't someone replace "(they have a website)" with a direct link to the website for the drive-in theater? I would, but I don't really know how...
There used to be a link for 5-Mile Drive In Theater, but last time I checked, the link was dead. I'll recheck and see if it's live. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DogPatch1149 (talk • contribs) 00:24, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
I think that someone should actually author pages for Sister Lakes and for Twin Lakes before there are links added pointing to them. Does that make sense? --DAW0001 (talk) 13:05, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Who is the person continuing the mistranslation of Dobwagiyuk (Dowagiac) as "foraging ground" instead of the correct "where to find fish?" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dowagiacite (talk • contribs) 18:58, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know, but I've got a source and will fix it. Rees11 (talk) 13:15, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
National guard
[edit]I'm not sure we need so much detail in the new National Guard section. Someone should at least go through and translate the jargon. Rees11 (talk) 14:44, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
