[edit]pretty much all of this is from answers.com. if anyone can expand on it, specifically the dob and dod, it would be appreciated.-Joeyramoney 21:00, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
I think the DOB is wrong. I think he was about 7 years older than the others, probably born around 1937
Keith Moon's quote
[edit]"Your drummer's shit!" - I know I've read it somewhere, but it turns out it's not an easy thing to find on the net. I can't be bothered to read through all my books and album liner notes to find it, so I just took it out. Turns out it wasn't about Sandom anyway, I just assumed as it referred to The Who's "old drummer". MightyMoose22 03:50, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
The man that quote is in reference to was Johnny Mitchell, a session drummer hired by the band during a brief gap between full time drummers. However the quote is said to be an exaggeration made by the band latter on to make the story sound more prophetic. (Ref, Moon by Tony Flecher)--Bri2dope (talk) 01:29, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Next stop for J. Mitchell was a band fronted by a certain J. Hendrix : ) — Preceding unsigned comment added by BGN1 (talk • contribs) 20:37, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
Dead?
[edit]Is Doug Sandom dead, or is he still alive, now in his 70s? BulsaraAndDeacon (talk) 09:28, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Cause of death
[edit]In my opinion, the cause of death if possible (and properly sourced) should be included in the 'Death' tab of the article as readers may be curious. Xboxsponge15 (talk) 10:34, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
