Dorsey actually straddles the Howard County and Anne Arundel County line and spills into both, not just Howard. The county line at that point is the Baltimore and Ohio railroad bridge right by the original Dorsey station. The Dorsey owned estates covered a good chunk of what is now Anne Arundel County and parts of where Elkridge and Columbia are now. Would love to work some more on this article but finding sources is pretty hard. I grew up in Dorsey and know some of it but cant find much specific for it online.
