date of birth

[edit]

What is the source for Healy's 1904 birth year? LCCN gives March 21, 1914 as her full date of birth. Vycl1994 (talk) 03:23, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I found it in this article from the Feminist Quarterly about the Maine Women Writers Collection. None of my other sources mentioned it. If you have a reliable source, I suggest using it instead. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 16:04, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Yoninah: After a closer look at this Wikipedia entry and the LCCN, it appears that LCCN cites A Passionate Intensity, a book currently listed in the further reading section. Do you have access to the book, so we can confirm Healy's date of birth? I had made a similar request at Talk:May Owen late last year, but no one was able to track that source down. It may also be worthwhile to note that Find A Grave, listed in the external links and usually not considered a reliable source, does have pictures of her grave that list the 1914 date. No, I don't have access to the book. But I think we should go ahead and write 1914, as no one else mentions it (or, therefore, can contradict it!). Yoninah (talk) 22:10, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for adding it. Though Find a Grave may not be reliable, that date chiseled onto her tombstone looks pretty real... Yoninah (talk) 22:12, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
