When I clicked on the links to the harmless looking url musicweb.uk.net (the bio and the obit) I received a warning from McAfee ("WHOA! Do you really want to go there") reporting "risky behaviors" at that website. The obituary has an alternate source at the Independent website http://www.independent.co.uk/news/obituaries/doreen-carwithen-124778.html. I have not yet edited these links out, but a Wikipedia article should not take readers to harmful websites.Jszigeti (talk) 14:26, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Replaced the bogus links: After some additional research discovered the legitimate links to Musicweb (http://www.musicweb-international.com) and the two cited articles, then replaced the impostors.Jszigeti (talk) 15:20, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

When was she sub-professor?

[edit]

The article says: "In 1961 she became ... in 1975 ... She later worked as a Sub Professor of Composition at the RAM", which implies that it was at least after 1961, but Grove says "after ... at the Academy she became a sub-professor of composition there from 1946 to 1948". (I can't correct it, as I don't know which is right.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wyresider (talkcontribs) 15:56, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
