A fact from Donnie Andrews appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 8 January 2013 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
This page should not be speedily deleted because... Donnie Andrews was convicted of murder. Character Omar Little on The Wire is inspired/based on him. What isn't un-clear on how he is not "important"?
Not every convicted murderer or inspiration for a TV character deserves a page. Really the page shouldn't be deleted because Andrews has been the subject of multiple articles independently written, satisfying the levels of coverage needed for WP:GNG. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:40, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Having a page/being notable is not a sign of (personal) achievement, but a question of public interested and coverage in sources. The page however has currently no deletion tag anyway and is growing, so there's probably no reason for concern.--Kmhkmh (talk) 21:02, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
