Technical details of the music

[edit]

There were some (music-)technical problems in the first paragraph of the "Composition and lyric content" section. Unfortunately, the preview of ref[9] on sheetmusic.com doesn't show this song, or I could have done better. The most important detail is that 90 bpm is a tempo, not a groove. If anyone has the sheet music and could check it out, we might be able to improve the paragraph further. Does the heading have some detail like quarter note=90 or maybe eighth note=90? That's a tempo. What exactly does it say about groove? Thanks for any help. --Stfg (talk) 20:44, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Its a tempo not a groove. Sorry about that, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 21:01, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, no worries. There hasn't been time to do much today, but I'll be able to make faster progress from tomorrow. --Stfg (talk) 15:25, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh alright. Well that's fine, thanks for c/e though! Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 15:45, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Need some original text please

[edit]

In "Critical reception", there's a quote (now a blockquote) that includes the words "Their duet was a true testimony of the Barrio Boyzz' career". Is it possible you could let me know the original Spanish words, please, or is it online somewhere? --Stfg (talk) 10:08, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'll go and search for it. Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 14:50, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I've mostly finished the copy edit now, but it's on my watchlist, so if you do manage to find it and post it here, I'll notice it and will see if it needs a bit of retranslation. I've also asked the MoS people about how to format the names of musicians' tours (italics or whatever), and will come back to do anything made necessary by what they say. Cheers, --Stfg (talk) 19:15, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the passage from that statement "Con su dúo, se convirtió en un éxito, ya que ayudó a su carrera crecer." Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 16:10, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks very much. Apologies for this, but I should have asked for the next sentence as well. Do you have it please? --Stfg (talk) 16:36, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
"Selena y la química del Barrio Boyzz es realmente encantador, que te hace creer que el cantante principal del grupo y Selena fueron saliendo una vez" Sorry about that, best Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 16:41, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks very much, and please don't say sorry - I should have asked for it before. I've amended the translation, and the copy edit is now done, except that I'll come back to alter the formatting of tour names if the MoS people say anything about that. Good luck! --Stfg (talk) 17:49, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well thank you so much! I'll address the clarify which date tag now. Thanks, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 18:00, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
