Photos?
[edit]Would the Nobel Foundation contribute pictures to the Wikimedia Commons? They have great pictures and it would be really helpful to have. It seems like it would support their education mission but then again, they have already made a very nice site themselves. Has anyone ever looked into that?Mcpazzo (talk)
- Quite often a source has legal problems with sharing its photos under the GNU license, but there would be no harm in asking. Why don't you send them an e-mail? Sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 16:28, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Trivia
[edit]The Nobel committe initially phoned another Donald Cram, a Los Angeles dry cleaner (with a chemistry degree), who later appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Donald J. Cram declined an invitation to appear.
dash-wedge notation?
[edit]Apparently the French call wedge-and-dash notation of organic molecules "fr:Représentation de Cram", and it sometimes appears in English-language documents as "Cram representation". This is something used every day by every organic chemist, it's very notable if there's a source stating that he came up with it! --Cubbi (talk) 15:39, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
