Incorrect Donald Gee
[edit]Samkev.hudson 21:11, 3 August 2007 (UTC)samjhudsonSamkev.hudson 21:11, 3 August 2007 (UTC) This is not the same Donald Gee The Donald Gee in question(linked to from the 'Born and Bred' television series thread,is (i'm glad to say)alive and well and has been confused with the Donald Gee that is alluded to on this link. As i am new to this site,i prefer not to edit this myself but would be grateful if someone could help to remove this link to the 'other' Donald Gee.
Thank you
Sam Hudson
Pentecostalese
[edit]As a Pentecostal myself, I find the present tone and choice of words charming and I personally understand what is meant quite well, because I "speak the language" as it were. However, I would advise the author(s) or anyone else who is both willing and knowledgeable regarding the biography of Donald Gee to set to the task of revising this article's verbiage so as to better conform to the stylistic standards of Wikipedia. After all, Wikipedia is open to any and everyone with a connection to the internet and, as I hope that this article may soon have a manifestation in tongues other than the English one, it is also open to people of many "tongues and tribes and nations" -- including people who do not speak "Pentecostalese". So, with others in mind -- and mindful too of the obscurity of our various British and American (&c.) idioms and colloquialisms -- and out of no disrespect to Brother Gee's legacy and cause, let's see if there are clearer ways to phrase this article for those who are not used to the peculiar expressions and references of Pentecostals -- to say nothing of people who are not well-informed regarding Christianity more generally or the Christian scriptures.
Sincerely,
