[edit]I really don't know why the Donald Dodd page should be slated for deletion. He is the author of several books on Alabama history and widely recognized as the foremost authority on unionism in North Alabama. After his career at Auburn University Montgomery, he became a scholar of aviation history.
I intend to contact the AUM library asap to obtain more documentation of scholarly legacy.
I should also point out that the Wikipedia article on the Republic of Winston, also known as the Free State of Winston, is documented with two of Dr. Dodd's books on the subject.
