Date of death

[edit]

Does anyone have a reference for his date of death ? --Racklever (talk) 11:36, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's significant to mention that Don walked with a cane, and was a Polio survivor. As an ex-pupil of his, I remember him telling me that he would pass on the offer of most big engagements with people like Frank Sinatra, and Shirley Bassey, was because his love of teaching, and the rigours of touring caused him to carefully select his playing and teaching workload. He was a splendid, encouraging teacher, and was a peerless player. I was saddened to hear he had passed away due to complications of a fall because I remember him walking with a cane, and telling me of his battle with Polio. I something of this should be included in the main article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr Tabula Rasa (talkcontribs) 05:04, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. I changed the hospital from RPA tp Royal North Shore. I saw him there the week after his fall. He had broken his neck but was able to speak. I played at his farewell concert. Angelofraietta (talk) 09:19, 10 February 2019 (UTC)Angelo Fraietta[reply]
