Deletion discussion

[edit]

@*Treker:, @Nathan2055:: I would love to discuss this page, at large, and what we can do to fix this page up to standards. @Bovineboy2008:, I would appreciate suggestions from you as well. Cardei012597 (talk) 03:06, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I added a few more bits of information, including its filming location, but the exact filming start date remains elusive, leading to this very issue. I legit searched through over a dozen notable, reliable sources and they all state that filming began under the radar, at some point after April 2020. If we can find reliable sources about a specific day and date filming commenced, this nomination tag will be removed. That is why I pinged you fellow editors to help fix the page, before it is needlessly deleted, only to be recreated, without its important history, when the film is released next year. I am open to any and all suggestions on how to fix this page and become strongly notable. Cardei012597 (talk) 03:28, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand this, it was approved via AFC. Some people are just obsessed with the "rules" to a disruptive degree.★Trekker (talk) 09:48, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I tried to get a hold of the user who added this tag, @Robert McClenon:, but I am having no luck. I do not know what to do at the moment, but I hope the editor can share his opinion on this situation soon. Cardei012597 (talk) 17:57, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Film Notability

[edit]

User:Cardei012597, User:Treker, User:Bovineboy2008 -

The film notability guidelines are often misunderstood, but they state that unreleased films are usually not notable. Unreleased films are only notable if the production itself has been notable. Normally all that is reported about the production is that the production took place, and that seems to be the case here also. Production would be notable if, for instance, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the producer had fired the supporting actress and refilmed her scenes. Unreleased movies are usually not notable until they are released. Wait until the movie is released and reviewed. Robert McClenon (talk) 02:22, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Procedures and Discussions

[edit]

Anyone can remove a Proposed Deletion tag. If the tag is left in place for a week, the article will normally then be deleted. If the PROD tag is removed, anyone can then nominate the article for deletion, and a deletion discussion will be held, which runs for 7 days and is included on various lists. Those are the next steps. Either allow the article to be deleted in six days, or remove the tag, and be ready for a deletion discussion. Robert McClenon (talk) 02:22, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I, and others, would prefer to remove the PROD tag because it is flat out baseless and lacking any strong opposition. Cardei012597 (talk) 03:09, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I found information on the change of directors for this film? Will that close this issue? Sources, on this page, state Fede Álvarez was prepping the film in screenwriting and pre-production as a returning director. However, a few years into scriptwriting, Rodo Sayagues was brought onboard to direct the film. Do you wish for me to show you these sources, directly? Is this piece of information enough to satisfy your concerns? Cardei012597 (talk) 03:32, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
