Zimbabwe stuff
[edit]There was Mr Grieve owns at least £240,000 worth of shares in companies operating in Zimbabwe.[1] I think this is out of date and irrelevant now. But Dominic is a friend so I should declare an interest here. NBeale (talk) 19:03, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- £240,000 does seem like quite a lot - over 10 times the median uk yearly wage - but there's a note on his net worth elsewhere in the text. The source says about companies "operating in" Zimbabwe, like Shell, so I don't even think the Zimbabwe link is very strong. In short, it doesn't look like a big story, so I agree that it should be removed. --h2g2bob (talk) 22:59, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

Role as AG
[edit]I believe I've seen comments that Grieve is one of the few modern Attorney Generals (maybe the only one) to personally represent the government in court in his role as AG. Does anyone more legally qualified than I have details on this? If that's right it seems like a noteworthy thing to discuss. Blythwood (talk) 23:22, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
Human Rights Act "replacement"
[edit]It is a pity that the article, as yet, has no mention of Grieve's views on the HRA. Vernon White . . . Talk 14:54, 18 May 2015 (UTC)

Grieve's Amendment
[edit]Would it not be a good idea to give the wording of the amendment 7?
Few people have any idea what it was.
