[edit]Overall, I think that you did a great job of getting this article off the ground. The main comments I have are below:
1) Though I think you do a pretty job with this, I think you should be a little careful with neutrality when writing this article. I think the studies you use are great, but that the rhetoric used may need to be less strong.
2) Additionally, I would try to add sections about macro-policy efforts that are being made to address the issue. This may get a little complicated, because it may become a little US-centric, but I think it's important.
3) Finally, I would try to maybe show how attitudes towards same-sex domestic violence has shifted over time to bring a historical perspective into the article.
Great job!!

Though I think you're the best writer,I think you could do better than this by adding some sections but for now good job and don't feel offended but I'm just new
GREAT JOB Lorraine Lorreta (talk) 16:36, 24 May 2020 (UTC)

[edit]This is a super start page! You do a great job of compiling urgent statistics and findings about such an important and taboo subject. For sake of a quick read, I would like a more complete intro section that summarizes additional content you plan for this page. For instance, I look forward to learning about what organizations exist that support victims of domestic violence in same-sex relationships. Ghv2 (talk) 04:12, 18 October 2016 (UTC)ghv2

[edit]Hello! I think you've done a great job of expanding the article, and I have relatively few comments. I think that you can keep being careful about neutrality (don’t say “too” much/few, instead say “relatively”) and add more images. But, this is definitely on the right track! Great job!!! [edit]This is quickly becoming a very well-thought-out Wikipage! I appreciate your thorough expansion on HIV & AIDS because it shows the intersectionality of sexuality, gender, and health—a very important subject, indeed. Something you could add to the legal issues section is the change of homosexual policies over time. For instance one of the most important Supreme Court rulings ever (Lawrence v. Texas) started over a gay domestic violence report in Houston.Ghv2 (talk) 17:38, 31 October 2016 (UTC)ghv2
- Hey Ghv2 thank you for that wonderful suggestion, I will definitely look into that court case. Maybe I could even create a history section if I find enough resources. Kmwebber (talk) 18:32, 31 October 2016 (UTC)Kmwebber
Sounds good Kmwebber I just looked up Lawrence v. Texas on Wikipedia and there is already a HUGE and really well-done article on the case. Just thought I'd let you know! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ghv2 (talk • contribs) 21:30, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
Spelling Correction
[edit]Hey all. I just wanted to offer a spelling correction. The section "Gendered expectations", second paragraph, sentence "Similarly, women stalking other women or men are seem as less threatening than the same actions being perpetrated by men" has the word "seen" mispelled to "seem" --> "women or men are seem".
Great article
[edit]Kmwebber, I really enjoyed reading this article. The included statistics were quite surprising and saddening. I also thought your section on gendered expectations was interesting - nice choice for including it. This was very well done- great job! Looking forward to seeing all that you and your COLL class will accomplish! Mtran99 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:16, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
"Stealthing" is in the news these days. Does it make sense to mention this kind of sexual assault, with or without this perhaps-recentist name? The HIV/AIDS section seems focused on longer-term relationships and has little on casual relationships (where earning psychological control of the partner is probably less of a concern). Tim Dean 2009 might have something on the subject maybe (I see an article of his is mentioned). --Nemo 19:46, 23 May 2017 (UTC)

Hmmm ...
[edit]"The CDC also stated that 43.8% of lesbian women reported experiencing physical violence, stalking, or rape by their partners. The study notes that, out of those 43.8%, two thirds (67.4%) reported exclusively female perpetrators. The other third reported at least one perpetrator being male,"
Am I to understand that one third of lesbians reporting partner violence are in heterosexual relationships? Seems to me that if a woman has male partners, then she is, at best, bisexual. And if one tries to twist the situation into 'thinks of herself as lesbian, but isn't out yet and still lives with a man,' then those women need to be categorized as such. And if those abusing men aren't sexual partners, but are in the household, then again, they need to be removed to a separate category.
The prime reason people will come here is to learn how common domestic violence is among gay and lesbian couples. Other overlapping matter can and should be covered, but there should be a straight answer here.
