Issue of article neutrality / balance
[edit]Apart from a one-liner at the end, this article is focused almost exclusively on physical violence by men against women. This is an issue because it is reinforcing an unhelpful cultural myth that is unsupported by facts. Abuse of men is very common, statistically around 1 in 3 [1]. As well as abusive women against men, there are also same-gender relationships and domestic violence in other family relationships (e.g. sibling abuse, parent or child abuse, etc.). Also missing are other types of abuse recognised as factors of domestic violence, such as verbal, emotional, psychological abuse.
I would propose that the article should either be made gender neutral and relationship neutral or renamed "Domestic Violence against Women in Australia". "OVERVIEW OF RECENT FAMILY VIOLENCE RESEARCH FINDINGS". OneInThree. One in Three Campaign. Retrieved 18 May 2012.
- I've completely modified the article and now should read better. User:Zapacit 01:25, 13 February 2018 (UTC)

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV
[edit]I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:
- This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
- There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
- It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
- In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 14:38, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
