Conflict of Interest
[edit]- Please see note on your talk page. Kim Dent-Brown (Talk) 17:59, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Even if this page isn't speedily deleted, it may very well fail an Articles for Deletion discussion under WP:BIO or WP:PROF. And that said, your edits to this article violate WP:COI as well.DJBullfish (talk) 18:01, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Comment I've removed the speedy deletion tag, as the article does appear to assert notability. Whether the article *does* per WP:BIO or WP:PROF is best left settled by an AfD (Articles for Deletion) discussion. I'm neutral on the subject so I don't think I'm the best person to start the AfD - but it does probably need to be started. Regardless, the article DOES fail WP:COI and needs rewriting and/or attributions on the part of third parties or else it the article is going to have problems staying on Wikipedia.DJBullfish (talk) 18:10, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I agree with others that this article seems to exhibit conflict of interest, i.e. I strongly suspect it was written by the subject himself, or by someone he knows personally. That's not to say it deserves deletion... There are a lot of very unknown people (usually in the more "exotic" side of the film industry) who have been given their own Wikipedia articles. So it's not such a bad idea to have an article on a distinguished scientist who none of us have heard of. The problem is WHO wrote the article. Wikipedia can't be used as an extension of someone's resume. 64.26.155.230 (talk) 22:04, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
