External links
[edit]User:wikibase has twice deleted the external links for this article. I am listing them below rather than replacing (reverting) them back into the article, because I would like the opinions of others: are these spam (more or less), or not particularly notable, or are they worthwhile to include? (I normally give credence to a named user who deletes external links, but wikibase has essentially had every one of his/her additions to articles reverted because they were judged to be spam.) - Personally, I'd tend to delete them too, citing WP:EL. I tend to be somewhere between firm and harsh on external links, mostly on the theory that the existence of a marginal link will be used to justify a slightly more marginal one, etc., a classic slippery slope argument, with all its faults. One the other hand, I'm not a day-to-day link crusader. A recent link edit I've done was to green tea. Studerby 06:16, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Do the article need the long list?
[edit]Considering the list of
- .au Australia
- .uk UK
is available from other parts of Wikipeida, is it needed here? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by AFA (talk • contribs) 00:09, 19 March 2007 (UTC).
why VeriSign?
[edit]There are hundredths of TLDs and registers. Why a statement like "IANA delegates all other domain name authority to other domain name registries such as VeriSign." and not "such as anybody else"? Do we really need such "such as"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.96.3.241 (talk) 12:32, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
