Requested move
[edit]Dom Športova → Dom Sportova — This article was moved back and forth between this and the proposed name several times during its history, so I'm formally proposing a move to settle this down. In my opinion, Dom Sportova is more correct because it's more often used (I very rarely hear the Dom Športova version in Croatian). The current version is also vastly outnumbered on Google ([1] vs. [2]). However, both sport and šport are orthographically correct in Croatian language (the former descending from English or French and the latter from German), and the official website (died in late 2006, accessible at Internet Archive or another copy here) uses Športova in title, but Sportova in text. — Admiral Norton (talk) 19:15, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

- Support I trust Admiral Norton's knowledge of Croatian to determine that "Sportova" is more common that "Športova" in the original language of the subject. Húsönd 20:53, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
- actually Dom sportova is more correct. Also, there is Dom sportova Mate Parlov in Pula. --Ex13 (talk) 21:11, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, the article content has it as Dom sportova. Should the article name be lowercase, or should the article content be changed?--Aervanath (talk) 05:54, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
- It's spelled lowercase per Croatian orthography, but I'd write "Dom Sportova" as this way it adheres to English grammar and everything similar seems to be capitalized here. —Admiral Norton (talk) 14:28, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- It should definitely be called Dom sportova (with the second word in lower case). If we agree that the article should be called by the venue's Croatian name than Croatian ortography should also be used. "Everything similar" which uses such format should also be changed to reflect foreign ortographies as they are part of the foreign language. As for the "S" versus "Š" dilemma, the "sportovi" version is much more widely accepted. Although it is true that "športovi" is also allowed per Croatian ortography, it seems rather outdated as the idea to push for the shift back from "sport" to "šport" was popular in the 1990s but has been in decline ever since (although possible, you will rarely see "šport" actually used in Croatian media nowadays). - ACK Dom sportova from me, too. Either the simplest and most common Croatian version, or a proper English translation. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 22:31, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
Petrovic
[edit]Is this the venue in which Drazen had a 100+ point game? If so, it should be mentioned in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.131.142.121 (talk) 00:07, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
